APO GmbH Industrielackierung

COATING OF LARGE COMPONENTS

Large objects, whether individual items, small or very small series, have been the focus of our company APO GmbH Industrielackierung, a division of APO, since 2010. From new to refurbished, customised or standard, for industry or trade – we can meet almost any requirement.

In our modern coating booths measuring 8 x 4 metres, each with a separate drying room, we coat objects of all kinds to the highest quality – from wooden structures to plastic objects and metal items to glass bodies. Depending on the requirements, we create a customised look and function for new products or give used objects a new look. We use environmentally friendly water-based coatings or, if necessary, resistant solvent-based coatings.

We are a young, nine-strong team that will take care of the coating of your objects with great dedication. We process and apply coatings manually and ensure the highest quality and reproducibility

PORTFOLIO

The range of industrial coatings includes a variety of possibilities for changing the look, feel or functional properties of objects or protecting them from external influences such as corrosion or damage.

DECORATIVE AND EFFECT COATING

  • Coating in various gloss levels: dull matt, matt, silk matt, silk gloss, high gloss
  • Textured coatings or soft coating (soft touch), rubberised surfaces
  • Multi-layer coatings or multi-colour coatings
  • Safety fluorescent colours

We change the look and feel of surfaces. We design customised structures, soft-touch surfaces or glossy surfaces for plastic components as well as for wood, metal or glass. We combine colours with a hard border or colour gradient and offer partial coating of the highest quality. Decorative or effect coatings can also be combined with special functional coatings.

PROTECTIVE COATINGS AND FUNCTION

  • Conductive (EMC) coatings
  • Antibacterial coatings
  • Dry lubrication
  • Corrosion protection coatings (all corrosion protection classes according to
DIN EN ISO 12944, from C1 to category C5-M)
  • Adhesion primer, barrier and sealing coating

With functional coatings, the focus is on improving the functionality of the product or protecting the surfaces, for example corrosion protection for metals. Different functional coatings can be combined just the same as function and decor.

INDUSTRIAL COATING – HOW ARE OBJECTS PRETREATED AND COATED?

There are numerous methods of preparing surfaces and then applying coatings. Each method and process has its justification. At APO Industrielackierung, we rely on targeted abrasion work and work exclusively with wet coating. We have good reasons for this:

SANDBLASTING OR GRINDING? – THE RIGHT CHOICE OF PRE-TREATMENT

Every coating stands or falls with the pre-treatment. Objects must be suitably prepared so that the coating applied subsequently adheres to the surfaces. This includes cleaning the parts and, if necessary, removing rust from metals or removing damage.

Almost all substrates and materials, both solid and thin-walled components, can be abraded in preparation. With targeted abrasive work, it is possible to prepare both complete components or just certain areas for coating with a manageable amount of effort. When abrading, we treat the surfaces with care and avoid the material distortion that can occur with sandblasting. We can remove the resulting abraded dust in a targeted manner, thereby protecting the health of our employees and, of course, our environment.

POWDER COATING OR WET COATING – THE RIGHT CHOICE OF COATING PROCESS

There are various methods of applying coatings or corrosion protection in the field of industrial coating. Wet coating is suitable for almost all materials and geometries. In addition to metals, it is also possible to coat wood, glass or plastics and temperature-sensitive materials. In contrast, powder coating requires temperature-resistant and electrically conductive substrates.

When it comes to designing technical and decorative surfaces of the highest quality, wet coating is unbeatable. With wet coatings, we can choose between many colours, gloss levels, textures and effects. In contrast to powder coating, wet coating offers almost unlimited possibilities for coating objects in full or in part, with several colours or with colour gradients. There is also a wide choice in terms of functionality, which is not limited to mechanical resistance and corrosion protection.
